any body noticed a loss of power with silencer ring removed?

This was discussed some time ago and I remember that Cummins or Holset said it had no effect on the turbo performance, strictly for noise control.

good news,I have not noticed any decrease since mine was removed only a beautiful whistle

Its only to eliminate noise, nothing more, there is NO difference without it.

If you check my post on "how to install a silencer ring" I just put it back in and noticed no difference on power - just quiter.
