Does anyone have a spare silencer ring and clip they would like to part with? They wife has been complaining about turbo whine. She's been real cool about the latest round of bombs and hopefully cool about my next round Oo. so I fiquire the silencer ring is a simple keep the peace token. Just a stock 35 ring with the clip would work out. Anyone???

I've got a set, but I'm not sure if I can find it. I moved and, since the house/shop isn't done, lots of stuff is in storage. But, I'll take a look this weekend...

You guys rule. Let me know who would like to clean one out of their shop and I will send you out a call tag! Thanks everybody!

Ditto on keeping the wife happy. I removed the silencer ring and put it back after a 2 mile test drive. She was pretty civil about the straight pipe exhaust (before I got the 4"installed), but the whistle would have been too much.

Can the silencer ring be re-installed with the original snap ring? I was under the impression that the snap ring (retaining ring) should be replaced in the event of re-installation of the silencer. Didn't someone do this with the old snap ring and find it flopping around in the turbo housing?

Yikes I hope that doesnt happen to me! This one seems to be holding in there just fine. Its wierd, I swear this thing spools faster now and get this, I couldnt bark the turbo before..... I barked it 3 times this morning, all on accident! But the reduced whine is saving the wife and I's ear drums.
