Taking it out only increases the turbo whistle. :D No power increase/loss. Took mine out as soon as I found out about it. :-laf

Like bmoeller said, it doesn't increase any output other than noise. Some have said that it becomes annoying. I've had mine out for some time and it hasn't bothered me. I can always hear the turbo whine (which, I like), but I have to point it out to my wife.

I took mine out on recomendation from Piers at PDR to eliminate my turbo stall by allowing the compressor to recurculate it's excess air more thoroughly and unbaffled.

I installed a new PDR HX35 and had a HUFF Huff huff when the boost built up under heavy load and when I got off throttle at boost. I wouldn't of taken it out just to make more noise but now it's out I enjoy the whine. - Eric

i took mine out the first night i got my truck, i like to know that my truck is running. its just an extra part dodge put in to make some customers happy.
