Silencer Ring

Does anyone know if the '06 5. 9 has a silencer ring like my '01? Put an AFE air filter kit on and its awful quiet!!

I have yet to remove the one on my '06. I did remove the one on my '04. 5 and the sound is the same on both trucks. Must just be the turbo design. The turbo on my '97 PSD was way louder stock than my '04. 5 with the modded intake.

Yup, it has one. I took it out and installed a Cool Blue Hose. Much happier with the sound and performance.

I bought the MPC eliminator from Geno's, maybe not the best mod for my truck but definetly my favorite, next to the MBRP.
