Okay Guys - First Nice to be back in North America and getting the truck on the road. I've had it stored for the last 9 months, started and driven regularly BUT. .

I am now getting a Door Ajar message  practically every time I jump in. I've check all the doors and none are ajar. If I really slam the drivers door it clears.

I understand there is a sensor integrated in the latch. Is there anything I can to do clear this nag up? Thanks!

Oh dumping the stock clutch for a Southbend on Thursday!:-laf

On a Ford Ranger you hose the latch and handle mechanism inside and out with some sort of penetrating liquid. It will make a mess inside the door but it worked. Might work on a real truck too.

Timing of this issue sucks!

I tried blowing in out, WD40, other GoGo Juices, took the door apart and determined that, no matter how I adjusted the catch, the latch stops just short of the closed position. To further aggravate this situation, I had a dear relative pass away :{ 2,200 miles east and had to cut a trail over the weekend. I ended up pulling the dome lights and continually clear the "Door Ajar" message whenever I stop.

Looks like I need to replace the latch completely...

Arrhhhhhhh

Made it to Montreal in 30 hours of driving time, 2125. 5 miles. Gotta work out the fuel economy but was getting over 600 miles to a fill.

Arrgh Door &*#$($%* Latch and Door Ajar!!!

#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!#@$%!
Further to my last ARRGGGGGGGGGG!

I just spent the last few hours taking my door apart, replacing the latch assembly (with my BIG hands more than a little blood spilled) and... ...

The SAME THING... . The door is shut and latched and still the Door Ajar Nag!! It also turns out this light is disabling my auto start capability and with the weather tanking, its darn cold!!!

Has anyone else had this happen and sorted it out? I've diddled the latch moving it all over the place, taping the leading edge etc...

Note I can close the latch manually and the light goes out... did the same on old switch so I just ****** away 80 bucks on the switch for nada!!!!! #@$%!#@$%!#@$%!

Again!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH
