Totally off the record...

You might be a redneck if...

Went boating at Chatfield Resevoir with the neighbor and his friend and friend's dad on their 19 foot ski boat. I was along for the ride but the friend, Brian, wake boarded.

Anyway, he was telling me he just bought a 92 Dodge/Cummins for $5000 and its primarily going to be used to tow the boat. We got to talking in the parking lot later about Dodges and such.

(The neighbor's dad has a 99 Ford F-250 and when I was looking for a truck I bought a 99 Dodge, so we make fun of eachother's trucks all the time)

We were talking about engines and Garrett, the neighbor told me that Cummins was not in the game and they should start making V8s. HA, I just laughed. He wasn't serious, I could tell, but it was funny to hear him say that. He also said his dad was looking for a new Ford dually since his Lance slide-in makes the truck sway a lot. I told him he better look into a Cummins, or at least a newer 7. 3 before going to a 6. 0hhhhh.

I did my good deed though, I gave Brian the address to the TDR and may swing by :)

Thats sounds like what Ford dealers have been saying lately, v8 technology is in, inline 6 is 'old' technology, hmmm I wonder why all the big truck engines are straight 6??

"Old" technology has withstood the greatest test of all, time.

I wonder how many aluminum V-8 diesels will still be in production 30 years from now.
