I am upgrading to a cold air intake filter and when I went to remove the air filter, the bolts had strange looking heads on them, What size and what type of socket do I use to remove them?
They are plastic like nuts they dont have regular threads that screw down they are just barbs like on a fuel fitting that a rubber hose goes on if that make sense.
they also are attached into the airbox.
I had the same problem with mine I just kept turning them until they got loose then put a pry bar under the box and popped them off.
Those funny looking bolts in the fenderwell stay there for the cold air intake box, mine has rubber grommets that slip over them. So don't toss em, you might need em!!
