I currently have NorthWest Customs Twins installed in my rig. (Basically the I. I. towing twins) There is a PS62 on top and a K31 on the bottom. Would I get better spool and/or lower egt's with a Silver Bullet on the top instead of a PS62? Would it be too laggy, or would there be any other problems or would it be beneficial to me? It just seems now the egts are getting too hot too fast

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks

Do you mean a Silver62 ? If so, it will be too laggy with stock injectors. If you mean a Silver Bullet, its way too big for the K31.

You may get by with a SPS62 on top, but I doubt thats going to help your high egt's, because by the time you get it all spooling, your egt's will have that much more of a head start.

You most likely are over fueling the compounds you have, but you don't want to expirment with mismatched turbos. Call Jason at Northwest Customs, he will help you get setup. You may just need a larger primary... .

No i ment a silver bullet. So I would need more fuel if I kept the k31 and went with a silver bullet? I could get more fuel if need be

No, a silver bullet is just too big to run over a K31. If you already have a SPS 62 on top you need to be considering upgradeing the K31 to an S400 or equivalent. Call Jason, he'll give you the straight answers.

Bummer!

I was hoping to have the airflow of the Silver bullet and the drivability of twins, in other words, have my cake and eat it too!

I have just the Phat Shaft 62 turbo Not the Super Phat Shaft 62, would the SPS62 be better than the PS 62?

Ok so If I stick with my K31 on the bottom, could I get away with a SPS62 on top, or would I need to change out both turbos?

I think the SPS would be a direct drop in replacement for the PS but, if you aren't trying to cure a surge problem you would see little difference. Perhaps a slight drop in drive pressure but otherwise negligible.
