Silver Star Headlights

Can anyone give a report on these lamps. One of my headlights has gone out and I am thinking about a set of these.

I just upgraded to the Sylvania SilverStars and universal wiring harness from www.suvlights.com They are definitely a lot brighter than stock, I am really pleased with the setup.

I spent a couple of hours last night looking at headlighs and researching upgrades. I really want HID lights, but can not choke down the $700 for something that does not make the truck go faster Then consensus seems to be that Siverstars are tops... Check out the search feature and read about silverstars .



Mike - I ordered a couple (one for each side/battery) of harnesses from suvlights last month, still waiting on them but they tell me it will not be long now. I figue with the silverstars and the harness I ought to be happy.

Now I am looking for upgrades for the fog lights, have it narrowed down to Catz MSC replacment lights or maybe just some of these

i'm running the Silverstars in my Sport lights (with the redneckdr wiring upgrade ) i LIKE 'em!!. i've tried several brands of light bulbs, and like the Silverstars the best. next best would be either the Wagner BL (Bright Light) or Sylvania Xtravisions. no experience with PIAA's or Hella's, though. BTW, i had a 9004 and a 9007 Silverstar burn out at about 2-3 months. i had bought them at Advanced Auto Parts, and they replaced them. at $25 ea, they better last better than that, or i will become disenchanted!!.

I put the Sylvania Silverstar in the 00 I had. They were in probably over a year before I traded it for the 03. I also put the Catz MSC fog lights on that one. They put out some light more than the Piaas I had on a earlier truck. I heard they have silverstars out in 9007 for the 03 but I have not found them yet. But to me there is a big improvement in the lights on the 03. Could be better but its a start.

are available in 9004 and 9007 that i know of. try Advanced auto Parts. $49. 95 a pair.

I went to the Silver Star http://www.sylvania.com/ 9004 ,9007 and also the Brite Box http://www.genosgarage.com/ index.htm on high you would think you were at a football game the road lights up that much.



The Sport model brite box documentation was not correct it should say to connect the box to the high beam side of the lights I am sure they have corrected it by now.
