What is the best Scanner for clearing codes....?

Redline oil for 6spd transmission

I guess I'll ask this here since asking on the Ford site will probably get me no where. ;)

Are there any performance turbos that would bolt up in the place of an HT3B? That's what I'm running on my truck right now and it does have some lag. I want to upgrade it in the future to a better spooling turbo, but I don't really know what's out there. I'm really hoping there is a performance H3 or something close that will bolt in with minimal changes needed. If you can give a rough price of the turbo that would be great too.

Thanks

Johnboy. . Call Pius at Bell Turbo in Stockton Ca... [if you don't know him he is one of the great turbo guys]...

sorry on the wrong 'puter and don't have his # on this one

I really wish you could see how good the PDR HT3B spools, I keep telling folks, but they won't spend the little bit of money while doing $10,000 worth of mods, I won' t quote prices but you should at least call..... FYI!

HT3B

Johnboy, your truck's back on the road!Oo. Did you do any work on the headgasket area to hold the big boost?

The HX60 is a larger turbo compared to the HT3B, and it's a standard rotation turbo. There is a later version of the HT3B called the HT60. It's reverse rotation and is said to spool better. However, it's much more expensive too:eek:

You could do as Nathan mentioned and go to a smaller housing. That's if you are running the 26cm currently.

Another thing to check into is a different turbine wheel. You may be able to find a more aggressive wheel to get that compressor going quicker. Consult a turbo shop for options.

Yep, the truck lives again. After some tuning, the turbo doesn't spool as bad as it did at first. It is a little lazy, but no too bad. I do already have the smaller exhaust housing.

I will probably experiment with some different turbos in the future.
