Republican / Democrat / Something Else

Steve M , The comment I made towards you was meant as a joke. I know you have your opinions, and stick to them, most of the time. I also knew you were very vocal during the Florida presidential votings. Notice the smiley face after the statement meant for you. Joke, Joke Joke Joke. Nothing personal.

As far as me not being biased. Well, I am very biased based on what has happened during a certain presidents 8 year term. He has soured me from ever voting for a Democrat, no matter what, for a long long time. My profession has nothing to do with my political feelings or affilliations.

Dodgeboyz, It's hopeless. Eddie Haskel posted this poll to start a political feud and has succeded. "And how are you today Mrs Cleaver?":D

Republicans exploit their fellow man shamelessly and without concience like a crooked car salesman. They'll lower taxes and then rob you blind with "revenue enhancements". They would love to do away with the paltry minimum wage and would love to return to sweat shop labor (slavery). Remember Nike tennis shoes? Imagine the profits if they could be made here with child labor!!! They'll cram their version of religion down your throat.

Democrats will punish you for working hard and earning a living by taking from your earnings to give to those who refuse to work and always have some lame excuse why they can't. They'll support laying you off so some one else of less experience or qualifications can take your place because he has the required skin color. They'll ban God from public view.

I could go on for hours on both parties but I'm tired. I registered as Democrat over twenty years ago and I'm tired of the same old BS from both extremes. Why go to the trouble of changing my party affiliation to another party that's full of crap?

So... Are all these corrupt corporate officers of late registered Republicans or Democrats? Remember... I'll give you a hint... "democrats aren't smart enough to invest their money". ;)

Of course I'm just kidding Scott so don't take offense. :D

I have always leaned towards the conservative (not Republican) side. I laugh at all the D's and R's saying it was their side that did this or did that. We have had both for a long time and what have we got to show for it? One side wants to tax us and give it away to people. The other side wants to pander to a select group of wealthy. Two rails under the same train. It's only a vote on how we get there. For the people that say I'm throwing away my vote by voting Independent, or to the ones that say Independents steal or cost one of the other two votes for them, what makes them think they have an intrinsic right to a vote? (run-on sentence alert!) Look at it in a way we all can relate to. Ford is the number one seller with Chevy close behind. Should we buy a Ford or Chevy only because Dodge can not win, even though Dodge is what we really want? Rich

Registered Republican

However, I vote for the best candidate based on their stance and previous record. Around here, it is almost always the republican. I have voted for the democrat in some local elections.

Dodgeboyz...

Speaking of followers... Glad to see you post to this thread first, rather than your leaders: Champane Flight and Lhotka. :p

Republican ... but not for long

I believe that the Republicans are leaving me ... they have abandoned their Conservative principles. I would consider myself an super-ultra Conservative Constitutionalist.

GW has signed onto many non-Conservative initiatives like anti-1st Amendment "Reform", a Farm-Bill that is outragous, and increased spending on almost everything (exempt the Military from that, which we need to spend heavily on since it is a Constitutional mandate to protect this country).

I will not be happy until some polititions can return the federal gov't the limits outlined by the Constitution: e. g. abolish Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, all other welfare programs that extract $$$ from one group to give to another, dept. of "Education" (wheres that outlined in our Constitution?).

Unfortunately this won't happen in my lifetime.

Only difference between the Republicans the Dems these days is that the Republican want to destroy the liberty and freedoms enjoyed by the people of this country, on a slower time line.

Steve M. , Eddie Haskel?? Naa, just an informed AMERICAN who would like to see his rights passed on to his children and grandchildren some day. I dont see my rights staying the same after a few decades of Democratic rule. I feel that the Democrats will not be satisfied until all of America is a Socialistic Country. How would you like the entire "US of A" to be just like California. It could happen. Heaven forbid The Clintons ever make back into the Whitehouse, or even their " Yes-man" Gore.

Hey Steve M. did you encounter any problems at last weeks voting places?? Is the problem with voting in Florida literacy, geriatric senility, or flawed voting machines??

Hey Scott, how are you today? And my what a lovely dress you're wearing!:D Ok, you've pointed out some ugly truth about the democratic side of gevernment. What about the ugly truth about the Republican side of government? Are they perfect in your little narrow mind? You're not blinded by bias are you?

Scott, Florida is a big state. The problem isn't here in central Florida. It's in south east Florida. Maybe it has to do with the high concentration of imigrants down there. Jeb is from Texas and he married one. Maybe you could ask him. He spent a lot of time and tax payers money fixing the voting problem here in Florida. And what a fine job he did! Maybe at the next family reunion he could have a voting machine with him and splain it to them. He could even pick up alittle toot and Zanax while he's down there. :D

Kev, you're looking at the numbers wrong, looks like only 46% Republican at the moment.

I'm sticking to my original opinion that the conservatives aren't the majority here :{ they're just more vocal:{

It looks like we are up to about 64% now on the "Right" Oo.

I believe I am a ...

Liberitarian these days Patriot. I am thinking of changing my party registration after the elections here in NH.

We have a Dem candidate for governor who wants to put in an Income tax, but that it will be only for education and he would have a Constitutional Amendment put into the NH Constitution to say so ... AFTER the income tax passes ... . yeah right. Also he wants to do away with the "Shall issue" status of the state's CC permits (he is also arm and arm with Hand Gun Control Inc. )

And we have a Republican candidate who is a multi-millionair who basically bought the primary election (though he started and created a huge business in NH many years ago employing thousands of NH folks).

I will be voting for the Libertarian candidate this November.

Can't these politicians understand that we just WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish we could vote for "None of the Above" and have no one sitting in the State House. "No man's liberties are safe when congress is in session".

Libertarian

As FATCAT said, the only difference I see between the two major parties is the rate we are approching socialism.

They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
--Ben Franklin

Two evils.

When I go to the polls again to vote I would like to see a slot that states "Non of the above"and if the" Non of the above" reaches 51% then all of the candidates running must leave the election. Just start the whole process over. Now that will get their attention.
