I've been thinking of trading my 1996 Extended Cab long bed for a new Dodge with the 4 doors and long bed. My truck just fits in my garage now with about 5 inches to spare behind the truck and the garage door. My question: Is the 4 door long bed longer than the older extended cab? If so, does anyone know how much longer?

Thanks in advance for your answer...

I believe the overall length of the '03 LB QC is 229. 7". I had a 98 QC and there is less room in the garage now than there was. With the 5" clearance, I think you could be okay.

Sounds like a great reason for a take-home test drive. Tell them you need to make sure it fits in the garage. My QC SWB only has about 5 to 6 inches clearance in a 20' deep garage.

FWIW my garage is 24'. I just clear in the rear and can squeeze through in the front. I have no problem checking the oil, etc.

Thanks for all the replies. It sounds like it may be a very tight fit. A test drive into my garage might be the best solution.

Well I can tell you this I can no longer make the turn into my drive like I could with my 96 and wish they still made an extended cab (with the sucide doors) as an option the new truck is TOO long.
