Here I am

Since Wildcat is closed, where to buy the max flow system

Automatic Transmission Fluid Recomendation

Are we all out of luck or is there someone else that stocks Wildcats Max flow Fuel system. I was getting ready to order one when I had seen that he is closing his doors.

Thanks

Dave

DTR censorship is a friggin' joke. It appears Andy said something about Don and since he advertises there they are making sure to kiss his ***. JMHO

Guys it's just -8AN line and a couple fittings. Order it from summit or Jegs and build your own.
What he said! I won't name names but I can assure you that most guys selling these kits are making 300% profit. You can build your own for cheap. If you are still unsure I will order it for you off Jegs for half what everyone is selling them for lol.

Is it ok to use -6an lines and fittings for everthing from the lift pump to the injectioon pump as long as I get rid of all of the banjos. Or does it have to be -8an?

Yah things are tight overthere I frequently get my hand slapped so if you see me posts over there it is probably 75% of how I really feel :-laf I advertise there as well

I found this in a post somewhere, the original thread had pics as well.

Summit AER-FBM2116 - $9. 50

Aeroquip 12 mm x 1. 5 male to -6 AN male Weber adapter. Goes into VP44 injection pump fuel inlet. Replaces bottlenecked "banjo" fitting

Summit AER-FBM2978 - $16. 99

Aeroqip 90 degree -6 AN female to -6 AN female. This gets the fuel lines heading back towards the tank.

Summit EAR-100194ERL - $9. 69

Earl's -6 AN male to 3/8" NPT male with 1/8" NPT port for fuel pressure gauge. This is where we switch from -6AN to 3/8" NPT which is what the rest of the fuel system is.

McMaster-Carr #50745K16 - $6. 83

1/8" NPT to 1/8" single barb for fuel pressure gauge (under High-Pressure Brass Single-Barbed Tube Fittings). Alternatively you could hook up the sender directly to the snubber? I think that may be a bad idea due to vibrations???

McMaster-Carr #3820K13 - $6. 38

1/8" NPT snubber. Reduces the flow of fuel to fuel pressure gauge. This is supposed to extend the life of the AutoMeter fuel pressure sender by reducing pressure spikes.

Summit AER-FBM2131 - $8. 69

3/8" NPT coupler. I am using this because I decided to use ALL single barb fittings. There is no such thing as a female 3/8" NPT to single barb fitting in brass (or at least I can't find one).

Summit MRG-2965 - $3. 95 * 5 = $19. 75

3/8" male NPT to 3/8" single barb. One on VP44, two on fuel pump (in/out), two on fuel filter (in/out).

In addition, I would get McMaster #5011T141 - 10 Stainless worm-drive hose clamps. $6. 45. The ones in the hardware store are $1. 00 each and are not as nice.

Summit GTR-65153 - $108. 39

25' spool of Goodyear 3/8" SAE J30R9. Biodiesel rated, 900 PSI, 300 F. Run from injection pump to fuel tank. This was a special order item, but I had Summit add it to their inventory! I originally ordered SAE J30R7 which is less than $1/ft. vs. $4/ft. After getting my hands on both hoses, it was no question to go with the more expensive J30R9. You can quite easily feel the difference in stiffness between the two meaning that the J30R9 will hold more vacuum. It is also visibly coated to resist oil, gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, etc. on the outside where-as the J30R7 is not. Going with J30R7 will save you about $93 on the project.

Summit CRT-P4601HP - $87. 88

3/8" NPT male to 3/8" barb connects to Carter 100 GPH @ 15 PSI fuel pump. Powered by stock lift pump +12v power source to trigger a relay. Note that this is a crappy pump. In the stock location with the fuel pressure gauge BEFORE the fuel filter, I'm getting about 14 PSI at idle, 8 PSI at WOT max boost. This is roughly equivalent to a stock lift pump. For comparison purposes, I want to see what this fuel pump will do with my setup before I go gung-ho with a Holley Black which is a 140 GPH pump.

Racor 6120R - $138. xx

3/8" NPT male to 3/8" barb connects to Racor 6120R10. 10 micron fuel filter. BIG!

MAESCO

Summit EAR-230501ERL - $27. 69 Holley 3/8" NPT shut off valve. Please between bulkhead fitting and fuel filter fitting? May be useful when changing fuel filter, changing pump, etc. Could be used for security(?) too?

Summit MRG-2966 - $8. 95

90 degree 3/8" barb to 3/8" NPT. NPT end goes into bulkhead fitting. Nice smooth bend for good fuel flow. I prefer this to a sharp 90 degree fitting. Looks nicer too!

Highpowersupplies VM-140421 - $5. 75

3/8" NPT bulkhead fitting. 1" hole to be drilled

Here are the other parts required for the bulkhead fitting:

McMaster #9464K35 - Viton O-Ring - Goes on inside and outside of the tank- $9. 89 for a 25 pack. I have extras and will mail you extras for free.

McMaster #50745K16 - Flanged nut. 1" - 8 (coarse thread) goes on the outside of the tank to keep a good seal in conjunction with Viton o-ring incase the interior seal fails.

I just finished installing Scotty's fuel system on a 99. This system is really easy to work with. You dont need a cut off tool for the steel line. I seen a 4lb increase in cruising speed pressure and 5lbs in the WOT pressure. Idle pressure was up about 1-1. 5lbs.

2 hours and you are good to go.

-6 is fine. -8 is just overkill. You know how TDR guys can be, too much is always better.

I like the -8 because of the increase volume. the -6 will still supply plenty, anything is better than the stock system.
