OK a twist at the end is AWESOME.......

Funny Irish Joke...........

Who makes them anymore? I thought New England used to but cant find em anymore. All im looking for is a smooth boar no removable choketube, dont even want the brass bead sight. i want a bare bones boomstick, if you know what i mean.

i have a side-by-side 12 gauge, double trigger 28 inch barrel, removable tubes. its a bueaty. but i want a rugged gun with some kick, that i can through in the tool box or the gun rack and not worry bout.

NEF makes what they call a "pardner special purpose" in 10 gauge.

IMO the special purpose would be dislocating shoulders. :-laf

You should be able to get a new one for around $200~ish for the hardwood (cheapest)one. They got a looonnnng barrel. Something like 28".

ok so NEF still does make one. thats good to know. i guess ill order one from my gun shop. that price sounds dead on. thanks.

bighammer. i already have a double barrel 12 with double triggers so i get plenty of power from that little devil. i want a 10 because i want the single barrel size which is smaller, and i want a one shot one kill BANG!!! believe it or not, these days 10gauge shells are very easy to come by. . you can grab a case right off the shelf at any Dicks and even some WalMarts. this gun will never leave my truck, well it will, but the truck will be its home. so a single fits in the gun rack better and is easier to clean. so if i gotta have a single, the bigger the better. and i would have loved to get my hands on an old 8gauge before they outlawed em, but that was a while back if you know your history. if my memory serves me right it was some time in the early 1900's. i believe just pre-depression. could be wrong tho.

Evidently I don't know my history on 8 gauge legislation from the early 20th century. Educate me... ... .

oh that was my mistake scott. i meant to say "an old 4gauge"... they were outlawed in the U. S. in 1918.

Im not totaly sure about the laws behind an 8 gauge, as far as i know theyre probly still used as punt guns and stuff, but ive personally never seen a modern 8 gauge long gun.

I recently purchased a magazine that has an article on how to build your own 6 gauge. It's black powder, but a 2oz ball going 800 + FPS is nothing to laugh about.

I'm sure the plans could be modified to make a 4 or 2 or whatever gauge. :-laf

I was going to build one, but I found out my local plumbing outlet wont sell 1" schedule 80 seemless in lengths less than 40'.

Guess I should be glad. 200 Gr of FFG would probibally hurt. :)

Oh well.....
