Anybody know how to by those pushlok fittings locally? I've searched online and don't see regular auto parts stores having them...

I don't know if they are a stock item for them or this store just happen to carry them, but I bought mine from the local NAPA store. They were about the same as on line for prices.

@AO - Maybe you didn't read Wingate's post about his install. Whether or not his difficulties were his fault or the manufacturer of the filter kit is irrelevant, \!

My only fault in this was that I didnt send it back to ThrottleUp when I realized they had not attempted to install their product on the CCSB trucks. My first clue should have been when they suggested that I add washers between the filter head and bracket!! I have checked their website several times since and they have yet to state that the dual filter setup does NOT directly fit the SWB trucks without modifications. In the end, Im glad that I have auxillary filtering for my fuel system, but completely disappointed that I had to completely re-engineer their product to get it to fit my quality requirements. I have since replaced the cheap rubber hose and pushlock fittings with Caterpillar stainless braided flex hoses and connectors and installed more isolators for the hoses.
It won't happen again....

i just put in the dual filter cat kit, from throttle up...went in great but it stated it was for mega cab

Doesn't have to be a mega cab I don't think, just a long bed according to their website.

I called all my local stores, Napa, etc. They had no idea what I was talking about. I also talked to my local parker hose store...no idea either. I started to order everything from JEGS, until I realized I had forgotten about a local place called Winner's Circle. They are the kind of drag race, muscle car kind of place. They had everything in stock, even the 12mm x 1.5 to -6JIC/AN fittings. I was really impressed with them.

you guys are going about this all wrong, install them where I have them, total cost $90 pm me if you want how to, takes me about 30 minutes to make and install one.

Those pictures are exactly why I don't want it under the truck. Dirt, debris, snow, salt, corrosion. But simple installation though

My under the truck filter looks nothing like that, even with 2 years on them. I mounted mine further foreword over the skid plate.

I received the GDP filter today in the mail and I also ordered the fuel tank vent kit. Both look like they're made very well. Can't wait to tackle the install on both of these.

With the 3 micron filter installed between the stock filter and the CP-3 pump, why would there be a need for an additional WS filter? Is the stock WS filter not up to the job? Just wondering. this looks like the proper place to install a smaller micron filter rather then before the stock filter. Just wondering about the stock WS filter.

The reason for putting the new filters is indeed for better filtration. Unless I'm oblivious to the other kits, I wont think any of the engine mounted filters are water separators. I made my kit 100%. I used a 1R-0750 Cat filter. Its supposedly a 2 mic. The factory still retains its separation and the finer filtration is obtained now. I feel its the best set up.

The stock f/w sep does a good job, but 2 of them does a better job. Water is so hard on HPCR components that you don't want any getting thru. Most f/w seps are only rated at 95% removal of emulsified water, and since the OEM filter is post fuel pump any water will be emulsified. If you have two 95% filters in series you are now 99.75% efficient.

The Cat 1R-0750 is now rated at 4um absolute.

I installed my '03-'07 Dodge Ram MK-2 + Big Line (Cylinder Head Mount) from GDP and wanted to give them the credit they deserve for fabricating a great system that went in way easier than I first thought. The system is well designed and the materials are very high quality. I ran it afterwards and not a single leak.

I would recommend their fuel filter systems to anyone!!

Thought I'd add a couple of picts of the tank before and after the install.

Before I started I took a couple of picts with by cell phone so I could see what I was working with.

It was fairly easy to reach in there and grab the fittings, but due to the way the fittings were on there I couldn't grip the release facing downward due to the tank being in the way. The zip tie method worked great, but was a little tricky to do one handed.

Another one before I installed the tank. I had to cut the old filler hose to get it off the filler neck and didn't want to wait for the dealership to get a new one so I replaced the old filler hose with a filler hose they use in marine applaications, i.e.commercial fishing boats. Very nice stuff, but a bit tricky and stiff to work with due to the wire coil embedded inside.
