radio problem

my durango had the same static dealer did check with the drb said no problem detected i was at the dealer when it happened they contacted star and they replaced the unit with a smaller unit works great so far keep after dealer to have it changed they know there is a problem with some units

Its definately the head unit as far as I can tell. Only the factory installed ones have trouble. My '06 does the same thing but not very often and all I have to do is shut off the radio and turn it back on. I don't have to restart the truck. Plus the factory ones are junk anyway without having all the proper displays and such. If someone figures it out I'd love to know but I'm not wasting my time with the dealer for something that requires me to push a button once a month. I know its new but IMO I didn't pay 36k for the sirius radio so it doesn't bother me that much.

I am having a problem the dealer can't find.

Periodically, when I turn on my truck, the Sirius is all static. It continues this way until it is shut off and turned back on after a short wait. The dealer has replaced the amp, radio, and sirius receiver as well as gone through the wiring. They found a couples wires switch and that greatly improved sound, but it did not fix the Sirius problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

 Quit messing with it the static is airwave interference from other factors related to the satellite. I have been over this with everyone and it happen's every once in a while.
