Hey all,
I have a factory installed Sirius radio and was curious if any of you know where the receiver is located for this thing?
Any help would be appreciated.

Jack

The antenna is located on the roof, no big surprise. for the 2006 trucks, the Sirius receiver module itself, on the regular cab, is located on the floor just behind the center seat. On the quad cab it is located on the floor in the right rear corner of the cab.

Good info... thanks. I actually prefer XM programming to Sirius. Is it possible/easy to switch the out? Does the same antenna work for both?

Short answer, no. You will have to start over.

I went through this. See this post/reply.

On my 06, the Sirius reciever was on the passenger dash behind the glove box. Take out the glove box and it was on a shelf next to the radio. That's where my XM reciever is now. :-laf

I found the same antenna works for both. I put XM radio in my 2006 RAM using the stock antenna. The catch is that you cannot use the OEM head unit. You will need a new head unit that will work with XM radio. It didn't matter to me anyway, since I had already replaced my factory radio and speakers.

When the previous poster says you need to start over, he is correct although you can use the same antenna.
