Site slow loading

Steve; Noticed here lately that the site is slow loading. Is there something I should shut off? or is there something I need to do to improve it. Its been about a month or so its been this way. The only thing I have added is Xfinitys Constant Gaurd. But other sites work OK.

I am having the same issues. Slow and sometimes it wont go back or I get nothing and have to refresh or even log off and start over.

Tnis is the only site that is slow all others work fine, so I don't think that its the computer. Unless I'm missing somthing.

I'm no computer whiz, I have major problems once in awhile also but I have learned that the slow loading is almost always caused by my own system. Without realizing it we load clever new features and bells and whistles from time to time. Many of the websites we visit add cookies to track our activity also. Over time all this extra crap which starts whenever we start our computers or download sites slows our computers. TDR is a very large website so it seems worse.

If you download it use the update feature first to allow the program to update itself with all the latest fixes for all the scams and cookies on the web. Then allow it to do a full scan of your computer. You'll be amazed at the number of parasites it will detect in your system. The program will clean out your system if you allow it.

It works safely for me and has for a year or more. There are others available for free also by simply keying anti-spyware or spyware into your search engine.

Malwarebytes is considered the "Gold standard" in malware removal. I also recommend cleanup for removing temporary garbage. Install Secunia "PSI" to check and auto update your third party software.

updating five specific software packages. Aside from missing Microsoft security updates, the study
revealed the following out of date programs as being the most used by malware: Java JRE (37%), Adobe

Thanks, Mainer. I was hoping you would see this thread and chime in. I couldn't remember if you had validated Malwarebytes when we spoke so didn't suggest it and didn't know if I was supposed to share the Secunia with everyone so also didn't mention it.

I have had Secunia installed on my system and activated for a couple of months since Mainer and I spoke by phone. It works as he stated. It frequently scans for outdated add-on software like the free ones we all use for graphics, and videos. When it detects old and outdated software it either updates them or downloads replacements when they become available. I promise anyone it is safe. I have used it extensively since I learned of it and also MalwareBytes which was left on my system when I paid someone to clean it six months ago.

All good suggestions above. Part of the reason that you'll see problems with the TDR site before others is that vBulletin uses a lot of Javascript to function and other stuff on our site also uses Javascript. When you have Malware on your PC it often affects Javascript more. Some other things to try:

Clear your temporary internet files and also do a disk cleanup (right click on your C drive and click on properties and then click on Disk cleanup). Reboot your PC into safe mode (press the F8 function key while it's booting and select safe mode from the menu) and then do a complete system scan with your security software in safe mode - some malware will successfully hide itself when everything is loaded but can be found in safe mode.

Did away with the Contant Guard to see if it was the cuplert. It did help so I guess it checks everything. The TDR was the only one it effected and slowed it down. Now its better.

I'll check into the suggestions all sound good.
