Stop headlights from flashing when unlocking door.

If your truck was stolen, I think I found it.

Ok so I disconnected both batteries to swap the air bag cover. Completed that & powered up the pickup, all works great cept the disc changer, it is like the radio doesen't even know its there. Can some one get me pointed in the right direction? :{

Thanks

My stock single disc player took a crap but it had similar symptoms as described by the OP. Radio and all other functions worked fine. I ended up getting a basic but decent Kenwood with USB input. I hardly ever use the CD anymore with the . mp3 capabilities.

You may have simply cleared the security activation code for your radio. It's the same as if the radio were stolen out of your dash.

If you bought the truck new somewhere in the original documents you received you should be able to find the radio activation code. If you can't find it your dealer, hopefully the original selling dealer may be able to provide the code.

I'm not defending the OEM head unit. I agree that much better units can be found in the aftermarket but they don't match the dash.

Also most of the after market head units are single disc and a separate changer has to be mounted somewhere else.

So how does one remove the radio ? I don't see how the cover is attached, snapped in place somehow?

I'll contact the dealer and check if security codes are required for this model.
