Six Gun not working

Dad recently purchased a used '03 and it already has the SixGun installed. The selector switch has 6 positions, but whoever had it before must have pulled the Speed Loader 'cause it ain't there. We went through the "learning" process, and the thing still does nothing. Something set a "fuel rail pressure high" code, but there is no difference in boost or acceleration from setting 1 to 6. The little LED indicates that everything is just fine and dandy. Without the unit throwing any of its own codes, Banks is of no help over the phone. Just wondering if anyone here has any helpful info.

If you havent already double checked all the connections, then do it.



The speed loader should be a power extension of level 6, (just makes L6 have a little more power than without the SL) There was an updated version not to long ago. A guy in Sacramento here in Cal dynoed the 6 gun when it came out and the Edge EZ rated at 70 HP while the 6gun is 126 smoked it!

so you are saying the 6gun smoked the edge ez?

No the EZ made 72 more HP over stock.



The same truck, same day, the six gun made 58 more HP over stock.

Connections are all good. Unplug one and the LED starts flashing codes. Truck runs fine, just not any stronger/faster than stock. Since the SG didn't cost any extra, we might just yank it and get an Edge. The SG has a lot of warranty left, so we've gotta get ahold of Banks again and see what they'll do. They haven't said "sorry, you're SOL" or anything like that so we'll give 'em a chance. Just thought I'd try here since it's now the weekend and Banks ain't open 'til Mon.

I would say wait and try to get it fixed, it sounds like a faulty box.

Make sure that the small locating washer tab on the back of the selector is in the # 6 position
