I was hoping someome in TDR land can help with a problem I am having with the 5600 conversion I have just done on my 89 4x4. I have completed this installation and upon a test drive I seem to have a noise coming from the front of the trans. or clutch area. The noise comes intermittently in sixth gear only. It sounds as if something is rubbing or trying to seize. I was wondering if upon installation I could have accidentally pushed the pilot bearing through the flywheel and that when the trans. is in sixth that the input shaft is pushing off of centre in causing the input shaft to rub inside the pipe that the release bearing surrounds. This is a NEW trans. that I purchased from Blumenthals. It is supposed to have been Dyno Tested before shipment. I installed a New flywheel and South Bend Clutch to go with this unit. I don't believe this noise should be there. Thanks in advance John.
