Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Six Speed swap

I am seriously considering swapping out my trusty NV4500 for a NV5600. I am in need of a clutch but have never had any 5th gear nut problems. Most of the time the truck is at 18k GCWR, so the extra gear would be nice.



QUESTION: What is a good "Street Price" for a NV5600 conversion? I got one price here in Las Vegas of $6200 installed, and they keep my NV4500 for a core or they tack on another $500, that brings it to $6700!! That seems REAL steep. I found another place that has the "Kit" for $4495, but you install and modify the drivelines.



Any thoughts??
