Those of you who have done the conversion what brand of socket did you use? I borrowed one but want to get my own for later and am having trouble finding the correct one. Shadrach
We had a 4 prong for older Dodges ready to use ( I didn't check ahead of time what we needed - oops ) and I discovered it was six prong in the box so I phone a friend who is a Chevy man and drove an hour and a half round trip to borrow it as it was Sat evening and I need the truck running for Sunday. According to Dynatrac's web site I need an OTC 7090-A but It looks to big. I will borrow the socket again and use it as a sample. Shadrach
I compared the one I borrowed that worked to an OTC 7090A today and the OTC is bigger. The borrowed one has no name on it just "USA". It is 2 3/8" OD and the OTC one is 2 1/2??? When my friend who help me with the hub conversation and did that part of the job comes back from vacation next week I will check with him to see how well it actually fit. Shadrach
Yeah, mine only has USA stamped on it. It's an old Miller or Blue Point, I think, as it came from the Ford house a long time ago... . I haven't used mine much in the last few years.....
