Competition video of our truck at the track!

Competition comp461 camshaft

Excellant recovery skills. Seemed like he was being patiant and just waiting for the right time/situation to get it back under him.

I never get tired of seeing that video. Knowing my luck the carb would have flooded and the fire would have went out when all four tires were back on the ground.

My son said, "I'll bet he got some sand in his truck" and I said, "I'll bet he has a little poop in his pants too. " :-laf

I say that it's the last two.
That is one lucky somb... and now he has an experience to tell his grand kids... jsut as soon as he gets his testes back in through his arse and in the sack where they belong!

I've got a much more mild vid of one of our buggies pogo-sticking on the front passenger wheel after dropping off a 9' ledge in a competition. Mind you, the floor below him is sitting at about 15 degrees downslope, too. It was at Donner Ski Ranch this last Sept.
I'll find it when I get home and load it up to youtube or somewhere

I would say that it was all three of the above, right when the rig was teetering back down he cut the wheels hard left/downhill, and let it eat, so he knew how to stop a roll (experience/skills). But the fact that it actually worked... :--) ... I would have to say LUCK. That truly is an AMAZING video!!!!!!!

The more I look at that. the more I say more skills and experience then luck. Maybe instinct?

Look at his front wheels just as he start to roll back down hill. As soon as the right front tire isn't totally FLAT on the ground he's able to start turning to the left. Maybe 10 to 15 degrees into the roll down you see the wheel turn and "READY" for the throttle punch.

it's almost like turning the wheels, started the flip/roll down hill. looks like it could of stayed on it's side at that angle ya think?

I have been riding and wrecking dirtbikes, quads and trucks since I could see over the bars. There is something known as pucker factor. It is a scale of 1-10. It involves just how wide your butt cheeks flap out and grab ahold of the object they are resting on. A pucker factor of 1 is typically just a "you know your planted to the seat" feeling and a 10 would be the taste of vinyl on your tongue and a need for fresh drawers. I think that feller tasted vinyl.

It would not surprise me, those don't look like U. S. made trucks, Kinda like a Montero or a Range Rover, but sounds like a small block ford or chevy.
