Was with a friend in a 03 H. O. dually 6 speed 4. 10 gears towing about 8000lbs. On a large grade running at 62 mph in 6th decided to turn the box to the 100 h. p. setting to watch EGTs etc. Felt like a gas motor with bad plug wires!Lots of what felt like missing. EGT was a max of 1300 tops briefly. Turned box to 60 H. P. setting it immediately smoothed out. What was going on?

I would look at your fuel pressure= fuel filter dirty, lift pump weak

Had the same problem happen to me while pulling my trailer. The check engine light came on,had codes P0192 & P0237. I upgraded to the Fass system 150 gph with the larger pickup tube installed in the fuel tank and have not had the problem since,I love the quad race box,I feel the Fass fuel system gives it the proper fueling to run it on the higher settings. coobie Oo.

No check engine light. Fuel filter fairly fresh. Must be running out of fuel. With out the trailer it dosen't do this or on the 60 or 30 H. P. setting. It was a lets see what EGT's do etc on the 100 H. P. setting towing up the grade.

A few people have said they can pull the fuel pressure to 0 on the 60 setting while getting on the highway.

If you're running hard on the 100 setting I'm sure you're running out of fuel. I can feel it when playing around on the 100 and 140 setting. I'm going to install a full Fass system, but have not decided to get the 95 or 150 GPH models.

I'll probably go big, that way I don't have to buy twice.

Was towing about 8k on a fairly steep incline at 62 mph or in 6th. switch to 100H. P. and shortly after it started missing. Back to 60 h. p. and it smoothed back out. Skipping at first felt like uneven payment with a trailer in tow. Then it seemed worse and I realized it was engine missing. Figure iit was lack of fuel but thought it would take more RPM"S and speed for it to occur.

Before I had the FASS system installed I spoke to my local dealer ( mod friendly) and a few diesel shops, schied diesel and daves diesel, both located in Ind. All three were of great help, they explained to me they were seeing some fueling problems with folks running the HP boxes. The stock lift pump would not keep up with fueling needs of the HP boxes. I had my fuel pressure checked at my local dealer(before the FASS install),10 psi when I would just hit the key,to check it not under any load. From what the dealer told me this was a little on the low side of the psi. I had a fuel pressure gauge installed (autometer 15 psi)

and hold a constant 12-13 psi wot in the 100-140 settings on the quad race box after the fass install. . coobie :D

I had the same problem with the quad box while feeding the cp3 at 18 psi. I believe that the quad box can have connection issues, including the switch.

How much is a FASS and is install difficult or?
Ketchum, the FASS system I bought was around $600 bucks,I opted for the 150 gph and a bigger pickup tube for the fuel tank. From what I was told the bigger pickup tube makes the fass quieter,I can hardley hear mine run. I had it installed at a local diesel shop. coobie :D
