I bought skyjacker nitro 8000 shocks recently. They are nitrogen feeled and are suppose to ride the same in all weather conditions. On a scale of one to ten i would rate them a five. The biggest thing that turns me off about them is that they make a lot of noise when going over bumps. Anyone else experience this? My stocks never made so much noise. THNX.

Shocks aren't supposed to make noise. Maybe they're topping out or something was left loose. I run nitrogen shocks and love them.

Aftermarket shocks never seem to fit the same as factory. You'd be surprised at how tight you need to tighten the bolt to keep them from rattling.

Did you install them with the red polyurethane bushings that should have come with them? I recieved a set of SJ shocks before and had to wait to install them until they sent me the bushings that should have come with them.

Yea i put the bushings in. I actually found the problem. I pulled a trailer with my jeep on it three weeks ago to remove some unneeded carbon from my engine. By doing that i loosened my otherwise rusty receiver. Now it has 1/4 inch of play all around and makes loud banging noises when i go over bumps. I feel stupid. Thanks all
