I want the SJ springs, but w/ my SWB I think the D25's will make it sit nose-high which is unacceptable to me. Have been looking for D20's and can't find 'em.
I was under the impression that the D20's are for the 360 gassers not the heavier V10/Cummins trucks.
edit: I just did some checking and unfortunately the D20's are for 1500's. I think they will actually sit the same height as stock on a 2500 Cummins and will probably wear out faster too.
I see they are listed in their 2500 section and I'm not certain that is entirely correct with the exception that is it could possible work on a gasser 2500? The D20's are also listed in their 1500 section and after checking out a few other websites the D20's seem to be primarily designed for the 1500's.
A spring that will yield 2" of lift on a 1500" will yield 0" of lift on a 2500 V10/Cummins (or very, very little). An OEM 2500 spring will lift a 1500 2". There are a ton of 1500 owners out there running stock 2500 springs who have received 2" of lift due to the swap.
I am very skeptical if these springs will work out for you and provide the 1. 5-2" of lift that you are looking for. Best of luck.
Cooker I just wanted to thank you!! I called Skyjacker this morning, and was told that there is a mistake on the website, and those springs should not be listed for use with the Cummins!! The Person I won the auction from was kind enough to give me my money back. So Again thanks for saving me a half a day of grief and aggravation!!
No problem. I'm glad you were able to get everything sorted out without having to spend the time tearing apart the truck to do so. It sounds like it all worked out well.
