Hello I'm new to the forum here but I'm looking for a little help. I got a set of Skyjacker D25 springs from a friend and I recently bought a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks to go with them to do a 2 inch leveling kit on my truck. I was hoping to install these parts this weekend but I wanted to see if there are any drawbacks to leveling a truck this way or any issues I might encounter after its installed from what I've gathered is that this is a better route to go for leveling out your truck weather or not that's true I'm not sure but I've noticed some guys that go the spacer route have steering problems or alignment issues afterwards. I plan on having the truck aligned once I'm finished but I thought I would see if there's any major problems I might encounter or any extra parts I should buy before I start this project thanks in advance !

Coils are the best way to do it, though from an alignment standpoint the axle doesn't care if its coils or spacers. Any issues after is from worn parts or people that should never be allowed to work on vehicles!

Glad to know that it's the better route to take thanks for reassuring me about that ! Basically my main concern is about the axle shifting a different direction like I've read about and then I've gotta deal with it looking dumb

Any lift method will shift the axle due to the track bar. At 2 '' it isn't too much. If you want it correct you will need to buy an adjustable track bar both my ctds have the Carli track bar

So I've looked into the whole track bar idea to center the axle again and I've come across track bar relocation brackets. Anyone know what the word is on those ? Are they any good or are they a joke ? Also thanks everyone for your help and sharing your opinions with me so far !

Got this one from cummins performance parts CPP.com and it has been nice and easy to install. Got it to straighten axle back up , it's on sale right now too for $390

on my 94 I am using the origional relocation bracket from dss along with the Carli 3rd gen adjustable track bar works great

I have seen trackbar relocation brackets wallow out. An adjustable trackbar may be worth it.

I think what we are talking about in this application is the conversion bracket to use a 3rd gen bar on a 2nd gen. The track bar drop brackets are a very common problem

Here is a shot of My Old 98 12V that I ran the D25 coils,a Solid Steel DSS Brace and the Solid Steel 3rd Gen Trac Bar kit.Coupled later with a RedHead Steering Gear it was some of the best money I ever spent on My 2nd gen ride.Sold the truck back in 08 to move to a common rail and I now have it back after many years of abuse to restore like it used to look, should have never sold it.

I already have everything mentioned above, but was still not happy. I just did control arms. They made a world of difference. After the alignment shop was done, the truck has never (and I mean never) ridden better.
