Anyone running the Skyjacker front dual shock kit (DS390) on their 2001 3/4ton 4x4 Ram? My lower brackets don't seem to fit.

On a better note, the D25 springs, upper and lower links and Bilstein 5100 series shocks are in and I'm real happy with the ride improvement. :D :D :D Truck sits level too :)

Gotta put the new leafs in the rear asap. The "rides like a tank" rear suspension really stands out now...

Dane, both of my lower dual front shock mounts were a smidgen off, so I just took a 3/8" or appropriate sized drill bit, and mickey-mouse widened them a little bit myself, if that makes sense. Have had no problems since April 2002.

Oh, the only real disappointing thing with these brackets is, the front brake line mounts to the axle have to be abandoned. I used zip ties to secure the brake line mount bracket to the axle now. At least I think it is the lower dual front shock bracket that gets in the way... maybe it was the new control arms..... I'll have to look tonight when I get home.

On my 2000 I had to grind a little off the bracket, there is a little

bump on the frame and bracket would not fit tight. I also had to

bend the brake line a little, but still used the line bracket.

Thanks guys,

Now I know I'm not nuts...

Looks like I have the same setup as Frank. The factory bracket has a "L" bump out just before where it's welded to the axle tube. This interferes with the Skyjacker bracket. Time to break out the grinder.
