I am in desperate need of the hydraulic fitting that connects the line to the slave cylinder. I'm doing a conversion and mating a ford MC to a dodge slave. Does anyone have any old slaves or lines laying around?? The dealer only sells the complete unit from MC to slave. Plus most junkyards dont stock the line and if they do for some reason they sell fast.

I will give you my standard "Try Napa" answer. It is surprising how many fittings they have and can get. You might try there. It may not be called a Dodge to Ford fitting, but you might find it by the size of the tubing and the thread to the Slave/Master.

Thanks for the reply but Ive tried NAPA and other various hydraulic hose shops. So far no luck. I tried Car-Part to find just the hydraulic line. I was able to find only one yard that said yeah I had two of those things last week but some guy from Colorado called and took both of them. AHHGGGG!!!!! I'll keep trying.....

I have a few fittings, probably not what you need though. Do you know the tubing size and the fitting at the slave cyl. thread size? bg

I got a complete line from a Dodge Dakota at a salvage yard, it had the same fittings as the Cummins. I carefully cut the plastic line away from the metal fitting and had my local parts store crimp on a new hydraulic hose to it and my upper GM steel line. I think they used 3/16 hose. The Dodge fitting had to be carefully crimped because it had to protrude enough to seat in the slave cylinder.

I just did the whole slave cylinder change thing last month. I will see if I can find the old parts. In my search my local parts got me cylinders from a 92 direct from bendix who you could try. I could not make it all work easily for my application and I went with a new one from Chrysler direct. You will probably need a new gasket if yoiu take it apart. My one on the slave looked like it was leaking. Anyway if I can find it I will let you know. Dave
