Competition Limited-Slip Clutches Worn Out

Diesel Class truck pull this Saturday, July 5th, 2003 at the Grundy County Fairground in Morris Illinois. This is their first year for diesel pulls and they said they have had a LOT of interest. She faxed me the rules, but they are very small and I can't make some of it out. I live about 15 minutes from the fair grounds.

HMMM, think my SBC Con O would hold for just one pull ?

The phone # is 815-942-5958

Won't be able to make it to that one or the one in Henry. :( They are both on the same day. Haven't pulled a sled yet, but it sure sounds like fun. :D I'm about a hour or so away from Morris. Have some friends that live there.

What a bummer I can't make this one. Even missed out on a local small tractor pull 2 weeks ago, that I really wanted to see. I hope I get to see something this year. Anybody know if the Lake County IL pulls are coming or have I missed that one to? Please keep the posts coming on IL pulls.

rules and regs.

hey party, if you can read some of them, what are some of the rules and safety equip. they are wanting. my brother (01-H0) are going to try to make it out.

The only safety rule appear to be drive shaft loops that you can make out of 1/4" cable. The specifially prohibit dog chains and sash chains (yes thats what it says).

26" hitch height, gotta wear a shirt, shoes and long pants, and a helmet. DOT tires. Otherwise it appears to be run what ya brung.

I am going to give it a try-- hope I don't break anything !!!

Hey Dennis, what time on Saturday?

What time do the pulls start on Saturday? I fly into the Morris airport right next to the fairgrounds all the time. I might have to check it out:D

Pulls start at noon. They run FORD, GMC, Dodge elimination rounds, then diesels, then ATPA, then championship for the gassers under the lights. So, pretty much all day.

See ya there

First Place Dodge

Second Place Phord

3rd and 4th Dodge

I did not get to pull as I got there late (DOH) and did not have my driveshaft loops on.

I think Sleddy could have taken it all if he was there.

Who won and where were they from? We were gonna come, but our truck wasn't back together yet and I figured mandatory driver's meeting at 11:00 meant you had to be there early. What kind of crap is that?? They'll never get good trucks there like that.

You got that right Joe,

The guy who won was from Elwood, Illinois. I did not get his name. The announcers weren't real good about gettting the names out.

Maybe next year.
