These are the low resolution versions but they're still pretty good. I taped the entire night but only converted these two to MPEG (an old Chevy that had a bad night and my run). Enjoy. :D

Right click each link and "save target as"...

That was pretty slick. Whoever is your camera operator held the video nice. Now you need to teach them to ZOOM into your vehicle when it runs so we can get more detail. And get closer so we can hear that CTD crank up.

Steve,

I set the transfer up for FTP which can be a little squirrely with firewalls and browsers. I'll probably change it over to HTTP soon. In the meantime, you might want to ensure that your browser is up to date or try hitting it with another FTP client.

Regarding Dave Mitchell's truck... if I've ever seen a case of overfueling, that's certainly it (but it certainly is a thing of beauty).

As for me, I'm retiring with a perfect 1-0 record. lol. Sled pulling is simply too much abuse on the drive train (the engine doesn't concern me, it seems to be able to take anything).

Lav,

My wife was holding the camera and she did pretty well considering her previous attempts. lol.

Nice signature by the way. If my wife had zoomed in close enough, you would have seen my NRA plates. lol

They didn't work for me either when I just "clicked" on them, but after downloading them they worked fine? Did you try that Steve?

I wonder how much the guy running the sled enjoyed that pull?

I wish someone who pulls there truck lived around NW Illinois. Every year at the county fair a couple of stock Cummins go out and get blown away by the same bombed Powerstroke. The Cummins guys look like they are novices. They don't get their RPM's up and then they try shifting and then it's all over. Then all I hear is that the Cummins is S#@T. It really pisses me off, but I am too paranoid to enter my truck and tear something up or lose to lack of experience.

Those videos are great. How did ya get the server space? I have some elk hunting videos I would love to show some of you guys.

Don~

Thanks for the replies... the pull was a blast! I was wondering a little if it was worth the effort though to convert the videos to MPEG but the hit count seems pretty good. I have wondered though how many of those hits are non-TDR members. It would be nice to have a place to post things to only TDR members in order to help with the bandwidth requirements on these large video files (maybe we already have this?). Just a thought.

RoadWarrior,

One of the comments that the announcer made after my run was, "... it's hard to believe the horsepower they're getting out of those little diesel engines". It was pretty funny.

I posted on this once before but for those of you that missed it, Dodge took the top 3 spots (2 Cummins and a V10), Ford took 4th thru 6th, 7th went to a Chevy (gasser) and a mix for the rest.
