Competition Ladder bars for first generation ext. cab??

Competition Attention DHRA Pullers

Gene do you have any dyno sheets of your own to back all the **** talking about Comp,Maddog,Jim F. dyno runs or do you just run your mouth. In the competition section right now you have bagged on all three of these guys.

Let me guess you don't dyno because that is not what is important to you. Well guess what Jim and Comp could careless about pulling.

I know Comp is a little tough to listen to but I think you are far worse. The only thing you do is talk smack and offer little to no help. Jim has been helpful and open,Comp will give you his advise and all you do is cheerlead for other people.

Yes I know you are a good puller and I think like in most motor sports it has more to do with set-up than HP. So yes you can set-up a good pull truck good for you,but go put you crap on a dyno at one of the events these guys show up to and see if you can beat any of the them. I willing to bet you won't dyno and if you did you would not win.

So next time you want to talk bad about someone else see if you can manage to beat them first.

Sled Puller's #'s

I seen Gene dyno way back in 2003 575 HP/1250 TQ

I don't think he get's the thrill off the dyno that he get's on the pulling track :D

Cliff

Why, thanks Cliff!

I call BS on fantasy numbers, Richard and I have talked, Scott and I have talked. Richard at least drag races, and can back up MOST of the paper tigers he produces,(his old Ford numbers were not even close, however) Scott also pulls the sled, and proves he has about 650 700 max. Fulmer, well, Fulmer just likes to play the number game, and absolutley avoids major events that pay big money to dyno high numbers.

I feel sorry for these guys that jump on dyno after dyno and flucuate 200 HP or more, and they think the highest number is always the "CORRECT" one.

Then, you look at the torque numbers to try and legitimize their run, and they are way off, way low,not even close to what a Cummins should run. (if they even have tq numbers, most don't)

I've got dyno, drag racing, and sledpulling trophys. My opinions would be the same, no matter if I had them or not.

What makes the their #'s fantasy. Because you where not there or it was not a dyno you approve of. I do believe all the new hp records set latley where on the same dyno does that not seem a little odd to you.

Now you bring up Scott's #'s and he could care less about them. Do you not believe that set-up has something to do with it or do you believe it's all about H. P.

I only put out 417hp for some reason. I think the tires where slipping on the rollers but who knows.

So next time you want to talk bad about someone else see if you can manage to beat them first.

Maybe you should practice what you preach and others may look at what you say in words a little differently. It seems to me on one of my dyno show threads a while ago you slipped in to trash what was going on there and a tad more digging I will find it also. Your outright feeble attempt to discredit Gene because he doesn't "dyno in shows where crowds are" is comical. I have seen his old truck on a dyno, both in competition and in tuning, and it would hold its own quite nicely. The day that Oasis-3 speaks of there was about 150 others in attendence who witnessed it also. Gene also had brought the truck in,at my request, the next year and did dyno, not once, but twice, while he was doing testing of injectors for his pulling combo. Not to mention he did the adjustments in the shop,in front of all those there and hid nothing from eyesight.

As for the comment about bogus or fantasy numbers, well, its actually easily explainable. The Left Coast has constantly belittled anyone who didn't dyno at a event in which they were present so they could see for themselves. It was actually bad enough that it was narrowed down to a comment made about not being on the same page as everyone else because of not dynoing at May Madness. We out East make it simple, come in lay your number down in front of a crowd and be done. Numbers from machine to machine will vary to an extent, but, can be compared. Its those that do not even come close I am certain he is questioning,BBD is a perfect example of it. Long ago when he installed the new motor his numbers were way over 700 and then a few weeks later at a dyno rip in Cali he manages only a mid 600 on the same combo. Its not to hard to figure out why there are those who question numbers when they vary so greatly.

I have been witness to one of Fulmers tuned rides out here at a show and it laid down a meager 792hp and if Jason would have allowed it to be twisted for the third run would have went over 800 easily. The motor from that truck was sold and used in the Garmon truck which set the big number on Dunbars dyno, where most of the big numbers recently have been set.

Before you try and dredge up my miniscule dyno numbers, don't bother its under 350 and enough for me. I gain more enjoyment running the show than rolling my truck. Ya better get to work son, your lacking in HP to beat Genes number set on fuel alone and his tires didn't slip either when he laid down his modest 575 nor did he cry about his numbers made that day... ... ... ... First off the dyno event your talking about was at a gasser shop that I set-up and the guy had no clue what he was doing we dynoed 12 trucks in 14 hours and several trucks including mine that had dyno'ed at other public places had low #'s. I noticed that as I drove off the rollers that the center of my tires where complete glazed. My lastest dyno #'s are not record setting but are pretty good at 671hp.

Second I do not go around just putting down other peoples trucks or #'s on the dyno, strip or pulling track just because it is not how I do it. I like to see people do good. You must not understand my post as my comments toward Gene is because he seems to just post to talk trash and put down others. You bring up Jim and I to have seen him dyno but yet when he post all Gene does is talk bad about it. If what you say is true about Jims motor then that proves my point Gene did not post a word when Garmon put down 951 on Dunbars dyno. That must be a Sled Puller approved dyno. Your comment about dyno's varying is true and that why I said for him to dyno at one of the events where Maddog or Jim are at.

It's not official unless it's run on Dave's dyno ;).

Oh I think I put that issue to rest last month Gene. :-laf

Amen... . Richard!

Gene, Some of us have to work for a living defending the country you live in and allowing you to talk crap on the internet.

I was gonna say... "darn military always making Fulmer 'avoid' the big dyno events"

I assure you if Jim was able, he'd make EVERY dyno day in the nation!! LOL!

I was there for that one. Gene rolled the rollers and then changed injectors, talking to me the whole time. ( First time I met the guy ) Explaining to me what he was doing as he was doing it. Turned out after the injector swap, only gained a little HP but gained alot of TQ. Just a difference in injectors and more knowledge for Sleddy, which he no doubt used for the track.

Wait a minute! We all know (or have been told) that the power you make on the dyno is not real power, the real power is made at a pulling event, not on the dyno or race track.

Jim

Dang Jim, I didn't know you'd been deployed, sorry.

And yes, I am still a firm believer, that an engine is making more power under a real load, such as a sled or drag racing, than spinning an itty bitty roller.

The Superflow is the only dyno I was ever on, that loaded the truck enough to make me nervous, that yes, something could break on this thing! Too bad I opnly had a 35 on at the time.

Maddog... yawn... . I don't approve any dynos!!!

So if you do not care about dyno #'s why do you read every dyno post and then tell them how the #'s are way off. If I understand you correctly then with all of technology we have no one can make a dyno to dyno a diesel truck. Just because you could not put up a big # they must not work. Get real.

TJ

No, you don't understand anything correctly, because the left coast correction factor has ruinated your reasoning, and your sense of humor. Lighten up, Francis. :{ :p

Dang Jim, I didn't know you'd been deployed, sorry.

I've been back on sea duty since the fall of 03'..... right after the PDR event (I was on transfer leave during that time) The schedule just keeps getting harder all the time as we are now manned at 70%. I went 11 months last year without leave... . that sucked! Not deploying to Iraq yet but that might change soon.

Now having said all that I've had my share fair of issues this year, that's why I didn't take the truck to the TS event. Who knows what will happen the rest of the year.

Jim

..

Where's Don? He needs to be involved in this :-laf

TJ: Don't worry man, which other of these guys even ended up in the DP challenge like you? 686-smog! :p :-laf
