No, I hate 6 speeds, reverse is where it shouldn't be!!! I'll break it for sure, or at least greatly shorten its useable life!!

can't be any worse then what I have done. :-laf

Row? Shoot, Gene couldn't shift an *auto* fast enough. The last time I saw him on a drag strip, I think he used the 'hunt & peck' method of shifting. If he at least shifted the way he types, he *might* get the right gear fast enough. I should remember, though, that sled pullers are a shiftless lot... . :D :D

Work Schedule and making events

Here is a perfect example as I just got this E-mail.

Our next Event is a Dyno Day at Performance Diesel in Emory, TX (www.dieselhotrods.com) on Saturday August 12th. We will start at 10:00am and stay till we’re done. $40 for 3 pulls with 3 Classes to compete in. Awards will be given to Class Winners.

I deploy the week prior to that event and I'm still on the road now till the end of the week. Also the truck is still torn apart as it has been for the last 4 months.

Best wishes for your safe deployment and return.

Problem is I have almost 15 years into this one... ..... that's 5 years from a pension. The deployments (road trips) aren't that bad depending on the airplane, but they takes away from play/test time back home. We typically stay here in the U. S and primarily fly out of Travis AFB in California and Tinker in OKC (the Navy side of both).

Shame as that event is enough time to put everything back together and test it.

Guys, I don't go until November, calm down. Sorry for Hijacking this thread, however since I'm on the subject of hijacking, I will not be making it to SDX this year, but I am going to Houston in October, the last "fun" before deploying.

Alright, back to regularly scheduled "Bashing Sleddy for bashing others" episode MCMVII

Ok back on the real thing here.

Got back home tonight and I look at a few things in the shop and think hum..... I need a push and I have it with the parts listed below.

1. Some stupid ***** pump that someone came up with for my truck

2. The craziest (multi hole) injectors that I've ever heard of

3. A (now) Hybrid bottom turbo with a billet wheel

4. A Twin piping setup with a 44 mm gate and a SPS 66 on top

5. A stand alone fuel system with -12 and -10 lines

And I bet if you tell Sleddy when and where you are Dyno'ing ... He still wouldn't show. It's not a DHRA event!

Jim... that combo sounds pretty sweet!

I'm going to make a guess of over 1000hp this time around!

Hey Jim, this thread is about ME! Quick hijacking!! :-laf

Actually Josh, I hit every DIESEL event I can, and help promote pulling in general through 3 local clubs.

DHRA may be the leader in Diesel motorsports right now(Of course I'm biased), but it is not the only game in town, and was never intended to be.

You know me, I would LOVVVVEEEEE to see three or more sanctioning bodies battleing it out. On the dirt, blacktop, and yes, even those rollers. I think it would be awesome press for Diesels.

Jim Fuller came in 02 to shut me up, and it didn't happen. BB came in 05 to at least show that non midwest trucks can put on a good show, and he did-just not quite the show he was hoping for... :-laf

I'm still waiting... ... ... . Oo. Houston?

So who's gonna set up the Dyno sanctioning body?

Approved Dyno's so from coast to coast there is no debate?

Humm... .

To bad you guys got Dunbar already!

JP

Cause I'm not near ANYTHING!

Try as hard as I may... . I really don't think there will be a LARGE turn out to an event up here. There is an Annual dyno day that I already set up.....

I'd travel, but if I don't have the money to fix my truck... . what makes you think I have the money to set something up in Missouri?

As far as time goes.....

HAHAHAHA Ya Right!

Enguaged, with a Kid on the way... . I've got plenty of projects before the Tricycle motor gets here!
