Hello all, here is a question that may sound dumb, But I do not know how to successfully pull a sled in stock street driven 4X4 class. Last weekend I was at the Berlin Fair in Connecticut, I had wandered over the Truck Pulls and they were running the Street 4X4 class. There were 4 24Valve Rams in the class, and they only went 2/3 the distance the Ford guys were going !!!! The CTD guys were basically taking up the chain tension, then putting up about half-power and not honking on it. As soon as the sled’s wheels were retracting the Rams were dragging down. The Ford guys went a lot further. A Duramax won the class, however he had a Kit in the front end, Ladder Bars in back and big knobby tires.
Now to the question; How would you pros run a mostly stock 24-valve Quad Cab Auto 4X4 with BFG 265/75-16 "E" BFG Rugged Trails? I need to know what air pressure to run in the tires, staging techniques, and power management techniques. Please help; I may feel the need to defend the CTD Legend :-laf Thanks, Moose
