No new purchase this year... . just stickin' w/ the 2000 700 RMK that is bone stock. Since I ride a whopping 3 weeks of the year for about 400 miles, doesn't make sense to upgrade yet.
All you short-trackers out east crack me up. A long day to me and I ride 40 miles. You guys ride 400 and it's not nearly enough!
Make a trip out west sometime and we'll show you what real riding is all about... steep and deep!
I got the g/f interested this year too! Tried to take her two years ago, and she wouldn't ride by herself so we went double... big mistake as she got really cold and was miserable. She told me this year that she would ride by herself and not whine.
Rode 450 miles last year with the family of the girl I was dating at the time (was on a break from the one above). Not a lot of technical riding like I prefer, but it was fun none-the-less, especially when you're on the biggest sled of the group, which doesn't happen w/ me and my 700 very often anymore.
Looks like the RX-1-ton w/ some titanium stuff and a mean turbo is the sled of choice nowadays... good to see that the new technology made it. I think we need the direct-injection 2-strokes to get out there, then we'll be good to go.
