Competition Math can be fun.

Off Roading How much tire ?

Take the measurements for the drive belt to a sled shop. You should be able to find a snowmobile belt that'll let you put the power down.

Ask em if they got billet shafts while yer there.

Dont forget lockers.

As long as the belt is "stock appearing" you'll be ok.

Remember your safety equipment, I hear tech's gonna be tough this year.

n 14

n 14??? wow where are you gonna put the golfcart on the N 14? I think that the cart needs a turbo, maybe two. If sleddy didnt squeak when he walked he would get one. it is a shame that a turbo with a comp wheel the size of a nickel is $ 600. oh and the turbos will only take about 30 psi, if you need more more than that youll have to fab some twins sleddy. I know from experience..... i have a small intercooler too incase water meth isnt allowed in the diesel pit vehicle shootout. :-laf

Gene I may be able to help you with that belt issue. I work for the company that makes all of the belts for club car and the majority of the sled companies. Do the pullies look asymetric with a different angle on each side or do they appear to have the same angles? If those are the original pullies off the cart get me the model number and year of the cart and I will at least know what width size and angle of belt you need.

The angles are same. I have the Club Car belt number-1014081 DF P. And yes, they are the same clutches, BUT, I'm going to need a longer belt, thats where I run into trouble.

The Diesel flywheel runs into the gear box so we had to move it ahead.

The fastest Diesel lawn mower in Werst Virginia vs the fastest Diesel golf cart on the planet... ... ... . :-laf

I predict it those two machines will put on a better show than a certain truck from Texas.

Nathan, I like the R/C idea, I tell you what, I'll give YOU the controller, and you blip me whenever you feel like it, it will be more fun that way, I'll never know when the powers going to hit! Oo.

Yep Dave thats right. Are you gonna drive the mower for me in the mower VS cart race? If so I better get some front brakes on it for some figure 8 action in the Hotel parking lot afterwards.

Iam not resposable for property damage, personal injury, vehicle damage,fines-court costs (misdameaner or felony),prides, egos,or any other abuse intention or accidental.

That's pretty cool SP!

Is it chipped?? :-laf

I wonder if you will have to change the springs in the centrifugal clutch to match the peak torque of the motor?

After that, it's all about rev gain  :-laf

Chip-ed... . hehehe Lets talk about rev-gain.

On the test stand, it engages way to early, no time to build boost. We'll have to see how it handles on the track before we try to reclutch it. I was thinking a touch of nitrous or ether would help it get on top of that pesky revgain.

However, on the governer, the driven clutch seemed to be fully engaged.
