I see they do not rate the 2005 2500 Dodge for slide-ins any more? My 1999 2500 handles my 2500 lbs. slide-in just fine with Firestoine airbags and Rancho 5 shocks. ARE there issues with the new frames on the 2500 trucks as I,m thinking of trading up to a 2005 truck?
 
Terry... There has been a lot of info about this on the TDR. Suggest you do a search.



The basic problem with the 2500 is that it's total CGVW and load limits don't allow for much of a slide in. You have a couple of thousand pounds of load capability and that includes you, fuel, passengers, supplies, and the slide in. You're better off going to a 3500 dually if you want to put a camper on it... :)
