Storage options for enclosed trailer

Strange sight

Hi I am looking for a slide in pop up camper. What are the better brands and which should I stay away from?

I would like one that has the shower and toilet combo and not the cassette style toilet.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Some random thoughts:

We have a 2000 Sunlite that we have been very happy with. Had one or two little things, a hose leaked and I put better connectors on the battery terminals, but overall very well built. I haven't checked lately, but when we were shopping they had a nice long bed model with a combo toilet/ shower. We have a short bed model with the furnace and 3 way refer, and its a great set-up for us. I would buy a Sunlite again in a heartbeat.

We also looked at Palimino's, but the four on the dealers lot were so poorly constructed I though they would fall apart right there.

Another option is the Four Wheel Camper. They seem pretty well built, but they are more spartan and a lot more expensive. I don't recall them having a shower.

I have seen northland's, skamper, and Jayco pop-up campers too, but don't know anything about them.

And then there are always the Alaskan's. Pricey, but nice.

Sunlite

Burndog I had a Sunlite with a shower toilet combo, kinda handy, you could use the toilet and take a shower at the same time. It was a 1995, I don’t remember the model. I sold it a couple of years ago to a guy who had a 3500. I delivered it to him so I’m not sure how he loaded it on his 3500 because the fenders would hit the jacks. Mine was overall around 13 feet long. 2 feet hung out the back of my long box and 3 feet over the cab.

When I got it was 3 years old and had been used 5 times. It had never been hooked up to sewer or water. The first time I hooked it up I had leaks everywhere. I spent a day fixing leaks and tightening screws and nuts and bolts, Back then Sunlight’s quality control left a lot to be desired. Once all the initial problems were fixed I never had any trouble with it during the 4 years I used it, and I used it a lot. If I were in the market for another pop-up, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Sunlite. Jeff.
