Car Stereo in Fifth Wheel-Product Advice?

This looks unstable...

I have seen some campers using the slideout supports on their slideout but I have also been told not to use them because it could cause the slideout to get out of alignment. To use or not to use, any one had a bad experience using the supports ?

I have used them and they did not seem to help anything I could tell. I think what they mean is say you loose air in a tire it will push the slide out of alignment. I never had that happen but don't use them either anymore.

I tried them when we first had our rig with slides. I found them of no use because they caused the slideout to lose a tight seal at the top. It they were adjusted low enough to not affect the seal they were not supporting much weight. As well the manual for our rig does not even mention the use of supports. We have used this trailer quite extensively for 10 years and all is well with the slideouts. We do have a very well built unit. I was fortunate in that our dealer let me trade the supports in for other useful accessories.

Like said above you have to be careful not to put to much pressure on the slide out rails causing misalignment or bending the rails.

A well designed and well built fifth wheel has adequate strength and bracing so no additional support of the slides is necessary.

With supports placed firmly under the slide outs the slide room is held rigid. Some movement of the trailer occurs when someone walks around through the trailer because it is resting on springs. If the slides can't move with the trailer movement between the sealing surfaces of trailer and slide outs can occur and slides may be stressed.

I use them under my living/dining room slide. I don't apply no more pressure than is needed to keep them there. It helps tremendously when in a high wind area with rocking.
