Last Saturday at a TDR meeting I left out pretty hard and some people said they heard a backfire or poping noise out the exhaust right before I shifted from 3rd or 4th to the next gear at pretty high rpm's (2700+), fuel pressure is good and never have had any codes for the pump, so what else could it be? Could they have heard a turbo flutter or a bark thru the exhaust? I can't here any thing and the truck doesn't stumble as far as I can tell. Any suggestions?

The defueling at 2700 rpm is the ECM basically rolling off the throttle. It's not like a gasser that interrupts spark going to the cylinders to control rpm. So you shouldn't have popping because you hit the governor.

Comp box and timing could cause it,

sounds like it may be pooping back through the exhaust valve

you have the drag Comp and it will not de-fuel on 5x5 so it could be running out of rpm with a little too much fuel

i would call Edge and see what they have to say

if your exhaust is wide open then you absolutely can hear it defueling. you should here it with twins, a ton of fuel and through a stack with the vent window open. Mine will do this on level 9 of the TST box when i come off it hard to shift or just to even out my speed with a lot of boost and fueling heavy still.
