Lately I've been noticing right at 50mph in o. d. my tran's slip's for a brief sec. 1 or 2 times and stop's around 53mph. It only does it at that speed. I turned the overdrive off and it's fine. Is this a torque convertor issue, detent cable or maybe a dirty filter? It's kind of annoying. Thank's for any help!

This sounds like the torque converter lock up problem. It is an easy fix. There are several solutions. I think the best solution is the "suncoast ground" method. It has worked well for me, and the others that I have helped.

Try this: http://www.suncoastconverters.com/images/APPS ground rewire.pdf When I did it the directions called for the ground to go directly to the battery. I connected mine to the ground lug that goes to the radiator support, and it works great.
