In forth and fifth when getten on up in the rpm the stock is slippen bad and then it catches again WOW!!! how much power does a truck have to make to slip the clutch going 50 mph down the road and just jump from 50 to 90 like that WOW So I guess I need one of the west bends huh LOL I know its a south bend but whitch one Do I get I need your help matt I an't never installed a clutch before. what tools, will the moter support itself w/o the transmission got the power now need to put ot on the road and yea your right matt ita keep me smillen for a wile. I found a 95 for sale 200k 4x4 long b. single cab body in good con. asking 6,000 good or bad not leaking oil hwy miles . oh yea I got 45 psi boost and 1400 EGT's at max rpm is that bad or good

WHAT USE THE ALLEN HEAD I did its all the way open but just driving I don't get it over 30 psi but when I'm hausen it it hit 45 psi WOW!!!!

I've kinda got a simliar issue as well. I am running no elbow and just a straight barbed fitting with some 1/4" ID tubing over to the wastegate. I get 38-40 lbs. , but can't get it to go just a little lower to help the 35 get back into it's efficency range.

Is the waste gate working freely? Mine was stuck from never opening when the truck was stock.

My Monster stock 16# boost never opened the waste gate.

Mine bone stock w/ just an air fiter , my baby waz pushen 28 psi on boost was that good I don't know still new to all this when I hause it in 4th and 5th she slips the clutch @ 2200 rpm every time need south bend clutch huh? whitch one do I get and If your truck is leaking oil will it make the clutch slip or is it closed off to out side elements? clutch, fast coolers, trany guage, H-teck dif. cover and I'm done need help on clutch and how many miles can you go an a rotela oil change????????? would like to know if anybody holds rallys, or get togethers in georgia or close by would like to go Oo.

41jay,

Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission lately? Has it been using small amounts of oil? If so,the seal on the input shaft of the transmission is leaking. Running a stock fueling plate did not develope enought torque to slip the clutch. Installing the #10, torque went up and the clutch started slipping. Mine slipped at about the same speed and gears as yours when I installed a upgraded fueling plate.

New SBC and related parts and fixed the leaking input shaft seal which caused the problem.

crabman.

:)

A stocker wont make 28psi. Or slip the clutch either. Maybe your boost gauge is not calibrated right?

JGheen, does your wastegate actually work? Maybe its stuck closed?

I still have my stock clutch in my 1-ton. I have my plate pulled back to 40% and on the dyno the clutch starts slipping at 365 hp and 875 ft. lbs.

Hope that helps!

transmission just rebuilt brand new stock clutch new seals so no it's not leaking , Ill check and my boost guage is brand new too it should be perfect.

You need a 16 or 18. 5 exhaust housing to keep egt down, or a bigger turbo. With the 16, my 97 dynoed 345 hp, 860 ft lb while I was developing the plate for Mark. When I changed out the stock rear lube to synthetic, I gained another 10 hp.
