fencebuilders - look at the recommendations that I gave earlier in this thread. It sounds to me like you have an issue on your PC running Javascript. Even when the site had issues the vast majority of the times (98% of the time) pages would load in 2-3 seconds for me and I'm on a 768k dsl connection. Many users have had issues on their PC which slowed down Javascript and caused performance problems. This version of vBulletin uses a lot of Javascript to operate.



Most of the problems were at peak times which is 8:00-10:00 pm eastern time in the last month or so. The work I did last night (along with some additional tuning to come) should take care of that issue.

The site is running much faster now for whatever reason. I access at work on a T1 line and the connection is always lightning fast. The wait to load a new page on TDR does vary quit a bit. My experience is on 4 different computers and 4 different internt services. (T1 one one computer, Edge wireless modem on another, Dial up on a seperate computer, and dial up on a differnet computer (wifes Mac).



I really like TDR and will continue to be a member--but there have been times when I quit trying to connect because of how slow.



I am encouraged with the speed tonight. (Edge wireless card and compaq laptop).



Steve, I would also like to add a thanks for your efforts. As a construction superintendent, I know what it feels like to keep fixing and diagnosing problems.
