This is the second time this has happened on my truck and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Shortly after getting my new dually truck last year, I had a slow leak on the inside rear tire on the right side. Using soapy water I saw that it was leaking around the valve stem. Dealer fixed under warranty, said that the tire pressure sensor/valve stem fits in a square hole in the wheel and was installed cocked so it leaked.

Now I'm in AZ for the winter and I have a slow leak in the left side inside tire. It's also leaking around the valve stem. I haven't heard anything about this problem before, perhaps the same guy installed the stems on both wheels or maybe it's a design problem.

Anyone else have this problem?

I took my truck to the local Dodge dealer here in Tucson. They took the tire apart and it was the same problem that I originally had on the other side. The valve stem fits in a hole with square edges and it was installed cocked slightly so it didn't seal properly. They installed a new one and it's fine now.

This service dept. said the same thing my service dept. at home said, they had never seen this problem before. They did fix it under warranty so it didn't cost me anything.

Must have been a small bad batch of wheels and I was lucky enough to get two of them. Funny thing is the first one failed when the truck was new and this one waited a year before it started leaking.

I know what the problem is...

The inner wheels just want some attention.

The leaky wheel gets the air! :D
