I'm pulling my RV accross country. Today I was running a bit low on fuel so stopped to add a few gallons from a jerry can. It was about 100* outside. When I tried to re-start it just wouldn't fire up. After several attempts, including waiting between tries, it did start but would only idle for a little while before the throttle would change engine speed. After that. it performed normally. There were no CELs but I didn't look for hidden codes.

The truck has never had any flashes since purchase over 2 years ago and I've performed my own routine service except for one time. I have about 29K miles, mostly towing.

Any Ideas?

No spare filter, never had to change one on the road yet and have towed RV's for more than 15oK miles in over 16 years in 49 states and part of Canada. Perhaps just pressing my luck.

The tach didn't appear erratic at all and there were no stored codes. This filter had just over 7K miles, all highway driving. I had the long start happen once before, also when I ran the tank low before fueling. Maybe it's like a vapor lock situation. Don't know about the dead throttle though.
