Slow to Shift

Hi All,



For the last week, my transmission has been slow to shift from 2nd to 3rd. 1st to 2nd is just a bit longer than normal, maybe another 3 MPH faster above normal. It seems to get worse as the engine/transmission warms up and in stop and go traffic. On several occassions, I have accelerated passed 45 MPH in 2nd before it would shift to 3rd. However, if I put the transmission in neutral at each stop light, it will shift normally for the next couple of minutes.



Any ideas? This Y2K 3500 truck has a DTT 93% TC and VB.

What style VB did you go with? If it is aggressive than it will shift later and stronger but you already know this. Bill will know. Oo.

Mines doing the same exact thing. Wont shift till like 2600 rpm and im like between 45-55 mph. I think. . something like that but she is shifting really late.

Mine's kinda slow shifting in the morning too...

But after a coke, I do much better.
