Wow - a must have to tow.................

Very cool! Oo.

How does the injection pump work on these? I want to convert a small Techumseh to run on diesel but I am stuck on the injection pump.

I wonder if I could find a manual online?? Off too look... .

The 10 horse Yanmar is a great engine. We have two of them in our family business, on our Champion air compressors. I also have a new 6. 5 horse model I plan to mount on a log splitter. Avoid the chinese knock off's. They are cheap built and have no parts support. The 10 horse Yanmar is almost identical to the Fuji engine in my Polaris as far as the fueling system is concerned. The Yanmar is air cooled and the Fuji is liquid cooled. I have a 2-cylinder 14 horse Kubota engine for a possible future project. I think the 2-cylinder could be turbo'd, but a single cylinder would most likely not have a smooth enough of exhaust flow to spool a turbo.

Where do you get a Briggs and Stratton diesel? That picture looks like a Italian-built ACME 8hp diesel engine I have for my rear tine tiller.

I have been also looking into HATZ engines. They offer horizontal and vertical shaft air cooled engines up to around 10 horse. I want around a 5 horse vertical shaft for a push mower. Remember, diesel engine horsepower numbers are generally lower than the power rating of a gasoline engine they will replace. The added torque makes up for the less horsepower. Our 10 horse Yanmars will do the same work as our 12. 5 horse Kohler on our other (first purchased) air compressor.

E-Z go is looking into making a diesel golf cart in the near future, according to the local dealer who got his hands on a test unit at the factory in Augusta, Ga. The engines on E-Z go are made by Fuji/Subaru, just like my Polaris engine, so I say it is a great possibility we will see a production diesel in the near future in the golf cart/utility market by E-Z Go and their rival Club Car.

1981, it has approx. . 25 liter displacement & will produce 4-5 HP @ 3000 RPM.

75 X 55 mm bore & stroke.

So, it may run as good as a 6-7 hp, gasser? Who knows. Still can't find the rpm or HP rating on that Kawasaki 290.

Briggs must have distributed the Farymann.

I thinks its going to go in pretty easy. Definately need to start looking for a twin, and get seroius about power on the next one. Smoking is fun, but you has gots to have power!
