I guess a lot of us are interested in tire pressure monitoring. A product that appears to be very well packaged is the TireSentry. See the link below.

http://www.tiresentry.com/

The small sensor fits on the tire stem - so it doesn't have to have the wheel broken down to change batteries, however I would worry about theft and there is no temperature monitoring. The monitor in the cab is a 2" gauge and comes in a variety of configurations, tire pressures are not a problem – adjustable. Batteries are typical watch batteries, 2 per sensor, about $3 a wheel and the batteries last about 2 years. Battery power is only used when the sensor detects lower than the set pressure. The display will light the tire position that the sensor indicates is low, no pressure reading. I think this product will fit my needs and will order this soon. See the product on the link above or call Fleet Specialties at (818)889-1716. The price for 10 wheels is a little over six bills.

From TireSentry web site:

Wireless Wheel Sensors are installed on each tire valve stem weigh less than 1 oz. and can transmit their coded signal up to 50 feet to the antenna located near the drive axle of the primary vehicle.

You probably are not more than 50' from the drive axle to the furtherest tire.

But you do need to mount an antenna on the drive axle.

PressurePro distance is 100' BUT you can not change the batteries, you have to send them back for refurbishment and battery change, but the life time is like 3 years.

Tradeoffs, tradeoffs,

Looks like the TireSentry also does not display actual pressures, just a low condition. I would definately like to see actual pressures so I know when I need a few pounds here and there.
