Does the smarty software modify any of the shift patterns or line pressure?

No. Not possible to control line pressure electronically until the 05 trucks.

And no Smarty does not adjust shift points.

In fact... . mine always makes the transmission shift softer on the higher levels of Smarty. Been discussed several times..... due a search and read all the threads. The guys told me to get a shift kit and I did ... haven't had the problem since.

Are you getting harsh shifts just under light throttle?

yes under light to medium throttle is when it occurs. It can be rather harsh. Harsh to the point where you start to wonder how much stress can a Diff take with 90,000 miles on it. When I go back to stock software it is not near as bad.....
